Greek beaches earned 394 Blue flags this year for excellent water quality. Greece has won second place this year among 48 countries. The flags are awarded yearly and are based on very strict criteria , water quality being one of them. Lasithi in Crete won 40 blue flags and Chalkidiki was awared 35.
