Santorini is one of the most popular islands in Greece due to its unique beauty and spectacular views of the Aegean that it offers. There are frequent connections between Santorini and Pireaus port several times a day during the summer, in summer there are ferries from Rafina to Santorini too. Santorini is connected to other islands such as Mykonos, Folegandros, Serifos, Paros, Naxos, Tinos, Amorgos, Heraklio Crete. The trip to Santorini from Pireaus port can last from 5 hours if you use the quick ferry from PIreaus port (HIghspeed) or 8 hours if you use a Blue star . Highspeeed is a more expensive solution and Blue star lines a more economic one. So in order to summarise the two main ports to reach Santorini from mainland Greece is Pireaus and Rafina , Rafina is not an option during the winder. Hi, I would like to share with you my opinion that the most beutiful island in Greece isn't of course Santorini, which I also love, but Rhodes.

The reasons are...

Greek beaches earned 394 Blue flags this year for excellent water quality. Greece has won second place this year among 48 countries. The flags are awarded yearly and are based on very strict criteria , water quality being one of them. Lasithi in Crete won 40 blue flags and Chalkidiki was awared 35.
