Ornos beach: it is located 2.5 km to the south of Chora. It is the closest beach to Chora, it is sandy and it is organized with umbrellas to rent. It is a very busy beach, there are watersports available and there is a windsurfing school there as well as a diving school. On the spot there is a large hotel complex that offers various restaurants and bars. There is access to the beach by frequent public bus.
Panormos beach: it is located 6 km northeast of Chora. It is a sandy beach of crystal waters. There is a beach bar by the beach, the beach attracts many visitors during high season.
Super Paradise: it is located 7 km to the southeast of Chora. It is next to paradise beach, nice sand, less organized than paradise beach. It can be accessed by local bus and water taxi from Platys Gyalos. The beach is popular to homosexuals. Very busy during high season, can get really overcrowded.
Paradise beach: it is located 6 km south of Chora. It can be accessed by bus, taxi boat or on foot from platys gyalos. You can expect popular bars, water sports, diving centers and a fully organized camping. The beach is nudist tolerant.
Elia beach: it is located 11 km southeast of Chora. It is a very big and sandy beach which is fully organized. There are taverns, bars, water sports and windsurf equipment to rent.
Paraga beach: it is located 6 km south of Chora. There are actually two sandy beaches, one of them is fully organized, access by bus, water taxi. There are taverns available on the spot.
Psarou beach: it is located 5 km south of Chora. It is an organized beach popular and sandy, a celebrity magnet. There are water sports available and there is access by local bus.
Platis Gyalos: it is located 5 km south of Chora. It is very popular. It is a beach of golden sand that attracts thousands of visitors. It is fully organized and there are many hotels by the beach as well as restaurants and bars. It can be accessed by local bus that leaves twice in the hour. The beach is a very long one.
Lia beach: it is located 14 km southeast of Chora. It is a sandy beach f emerald waters, very organized and quiet, there are some restaurants and a beach bar. There are also accommodation options in the nearby area.
Agia Anna beach: it is located 6 km south east of Chora. It is a calm, sandy unorganized beach.
Agios Ioannis beach: it is located 5 km southwest of Chora. It is a small quiet beach with view to Delos.
Agios Sostis beach: it is a quiet beach, unorganized and it can be accessed by car or motorbike, there is a tavern by the beach and it is like a nice virgin spot.
Agios Stephanos beach: it is located 3 km north of Chora. It is a meltemi proof beach with available taverns and bars, it is the closest beach to the capital and it is therefore popular and crowded.
Agrara beach: it is located 10 km southeast of Chora. It is next to Elia beach but quieter and partly organized. There is a small cafa available and the beach is Nudist tolerant.
Divounia beach: it is located 12 km east of Chora. It is a small pebbled beach with a few taverns
Ftelia beach: it is located 10 km east of Chora. It is not meltemi proof and therefore very famous to windsurfing. It is peaceful and quiet and very close to Chora.
Houlakia beach: it is located 5 km north of Chora. It is a pebbled protected beach but you can visit it to watch the scenery and the remarkable sunset.
Kalafatis beach: it is located 12 km east of Chora. It is a good beach for water sports and there is a water sports center and a windsurfing center available there.
Kalo livadi beach: it is a very long beach, popular exotic and well organized. It is a shallow one and therefore popular to families. There is accommodation available and there are also a few taverns.
Korfos beach: it is a good windsurfing spot due to the large waves. There are many accommodation options and fish taverns in the region.
Megalli Ammos beach: it is located 1 km south of Chora. It is close to town, unorganized and quiet.
