Milos Beaches

milos-sarakinikoSarakiniko beaches: it is located 4 km east of Plaka. The beach is tottaly formed by volcanic rock which is washed by the sea, giving it a white color. It is a very much photographed beach. A truly unique formed beach that you wont find anywhere in Greece.

Agia Kyriaki beach: it is located 14 km south of Plaka. The access to thebeach is for Zefyria. It is a sandy beach with crystal waters. The beach is organised.

Firiplaka beach: it is located 15 km south of Plaka. It is besides the beach of Tsigrado. It is a sandy long beach with shallow waters.

Papafragkas beach: it is located 10 km east of Plaka. It is a small canyon vertical to the land that ends in a narrow strip of land, like a natural pool. The scenery is amasing and the waters are emerald. It is close to the archeological site of Fylakopi.

Provatas beach: it is located 13 km south east of Plaka. It is a beach of golden sand, small hotels and resataurants.

Tsigrado beach: it is located 14 km south of Plaka. It is a small and sandy beach with little tricky access near Firiplaka.

Achivadolimni beach: it is located 11 km south of Plaka. It is one of the best beaches of the island. It is large and sandy and near the airport. Beside the beach there is a lake with thousands of clams which gave the name to the beach clam lake.

Adamas beach: it is located 4 km south of Plaka. It is a small sandy beach close to Adamas. It is a close distance to the hotels and studios.

Agathia beach: it is located 25 km west of Plaka. It can be accessed from Emporio. It is an unorganized partly sandy beach.

Agia Marina beach: it is located 13 km south of Plaka. It is an unorganised beach, difficult to access, not very popular.

Agios Ioannis beach: it is located 28 km west of Plaka. Unorganised can be accessed by truck road or boat.

Alogomandra beach: it is located 7 km east of Plaka. It is situated by Agios Konstantinos. It is a small sandy beach with crystal emerald waters.

Ammoudaraki beach: it is located 16 km west of Plaka. The beach can be accessed by truck road from Emporios or by boat. It is a sandy totally isolated, close to Triades beach.

Fatourena beach: it is located 15 km south west of Plaka. It is close to Emporios, partly sandy, good for scuba, unorganised.

Firopotamos beach: it is located 3 km north of Plaka. It is a beach inside a small bay. There is plenty of Trees that provide shade to the beach. There is a very picturesque town nearby.

Gerakas beach: it is located south of Plaka and can only be accessed by excursion boat. It is a place with beautiful landscape.

Kastanas beach: it is located 14 km east of Plaka. It is a small beach, isolated, rocky and unorganised.

Kipos beach: it is located 15 km south east. It is a small isolated beach which can be accessed by car or by boat. There is a nice restaurant over the hill there.

Kleftiko beach: it is more like a spot in the sea that has impressive rock formations and can be accessed by excursion boat from which you can jump and swim. At a close distance there is a similar spot Gerontas that can be accessed the same way.

Kolibisionas beach: it is located 15 km south east of Plaka. It is not popular and isolated. It can be accessed by boat or through a bad road.

Lagada beach: it is located 4 km south of Plaka. It is very close to Adamas and it can be accessed on foot from Adamas. There are some hotels and taverns on the spot.

Mytakas beach: it is located 5 km west of Plaka. It is not meltemi proof; it is a beach in a small fishing village with clean water to swim.

Pahena beach: it is located 9 km east of Plaka. It is a sandy tranquil beach with some rooms to let and some taverns.

Paleochori beach: it is located 13 km south east of Plaka. It is an organised beach, very popular. There are Cafes and taverns and rooms to let availiable. There are water sports facilities also.

Paliorema beach: it is located 13 km south east. It is a small beach, difficult to access close to the sulfure mine, an isolated beach.

Gerontas: see Kleftiko, access by boat only.

Papakino beach: it is located 5 km south east of Plaka. it is close to Adamas. It is a popular beach, plenty of shade by trees, there are also plenty of taverns and rooms to let.

Plathiena beach: it is located 4 km north of Plaka. It is an unorganised beach. Isolated and relaxing that doesn't get many visitors.

Apollonia beach: it is located 12 km north east of Plaka. It is along sandy beach that has a lot of shade. It is not organized though.

Psarovolada beach; it is located 15 km south east of Plaka. It is an isolated unorganised beach, it is calm and doesn't get many visitors, there are some rooms to rent by the beach though.

Tria Pigadia beach: it is located 15 km east of Plaka. It can be accessed through a truck road or boat. It is not organised, not sandy and close to Apollonia.

Triades beach: it is located 35 km west of Plaka. It can be accessed through a truck road. There are three small and sandy beaches there, not organised and affected by meltemi.

Voudia beach: it is located 13 km east of Plaka. It is an unorganized beach, not much visited, it is good for fishing.
