Mylopotas beach: it is located 3 km south west of Chora (the capital). It is the most frequented and popural beach in Ios, it is sandy and 1 km in lengh. There are sun beds, umbrellas, beach bars, restaurants, cafes and sea sports. There is also a bus from Chora that leaves exery 15 minutes and goes to Mylopotas.
Manganari Beach: it is located 23 km from the port (Chora), in the south shore. It is divided in 5 idyllic beaches with crystal water; the beaches are located one next to each other. There are water sports, fish taverns and room to let there.
Koumbara beach: it is located 3 km west of Chora. It is a beach 300 meters long. The visitor can get there on foot from the port, but there is also a bus that can get you there that leaves from the port. It is a tranquil beach with shallow waters and has a beach bar.
Agia Theodoti: it is located 9 km northeast of Chora. It can be accessed through an asphalt road that starts from the Mills in Chora. There are taverns and room to let there.
Papa beach: it is located 11 km southeast from Chora and it is the perfect place to relax.
Gialos beach: it is located 2 km east of Chora and it takes a couple of minutes to walk there from the port. It is less crowded that Mylopotas and there is a restaurant there and a windsurf center.
Kalamos beach: it is located 10 km southeast of Chora. It is a deserted beach with calming atmosphere. There is a religious festival there on the 29 of August every year.
Plakes beach: it is located 12 km east of Chora. It is a tranquil beach on the road to kalamos.
Psathi beach: it is located 17 km east of Chora. It is comprised of two beaches for peace and quiet on the road to Theodoti.
