Agali beach: it is located 5 km west of the capital. There are a few roomt to let there and it is a very beautiful beach, popular and crowded.
Agios Georgios beach: it is located 8 km northwest of the capital. It is a sandy beach of emerald waters although not meltemi proof (northerly winds are called meltemi).
Ambeli beach: it is located 8 km northwest of the capital. It is a small beach that can be accessed on foot if you are in the mood of walking for half an hour or by boat.
Karavostasi beach: it is located 3 km southeast of the capital. The waters are shallow and the bottom of the beach is sandy although not the beach itself. It is a good beach for families and it is close to the port.
Ligaria beach: it is located 8 km northwest. It is a wide pebbled beach near the village of Ano Meria which you have to see. It can be accessed by boat or on foot. There is very little shade though.
Vardia beach: it is just 100 meters from the port it is partly sandy and has some beautiful rocks. There are some trees on the beach that provide shade.
Latinaki beach: it is a lonely beach close to port about 1 km from karavostasi.
Livadi beach: it is a sandy beach that has a camping, a restaurant and a bar. It is much preferred by the young.
Katergo beach: it is located to the southwest and it is one of the best that Folegandros has to offer. It is a long beach, not a sandy one and it is accessible by excursion boats. A popular beach, emerald waters, attention no shade available.
Vorina beach: it is located on the eastern part of the island, no shade, not organized and not meltemi proof. Yes to emerald waters, to access by bus and to excursion boats.
