palm-beach-in-vai-lasithiVai Palm Beach: is is located 94 km north west of Agios Nikolaos, located there, there is a forest of 5000 palm trees unique in Europe which end in a very long sandy beach. The beach is very popular and crowded. It is open from dusk till dawn. There are snack bars and Café facilities. It is a well organized beach, you can hire an umbrella or relax by the shade of the palm trees.

Amoudara beach : it is located 5 km south of Agios Nikolaos. It is a meltemi proof beach well organized and very crowded. There are many accommodations options and taverns nearby.

Elounda beach: It is located 11 km north of Agios Nikolaos, it is not sandy. It is a well organized beach and there are some watersports options there. There are a lot of taverns, restaurants and bars. There are also excursion boats to take you to Spinaloga (a former leper's colony).

Havania beach: it is located 1 km north of Agios Nikolaos. It is a sandy beach well organized and popular, there is a number of restaurants and taverns and it is a walking distance from Agios Nikolaos.

Istro beach: it is located 13 km south of Agios Nikolaos it is a very popular beach which is well organized and it has shallow waters. The beach is sandy and there are food cantinas there as well as restaurants and taverns.

Almiros beach: It is located 3 km south of Agios Nikolaos, its is a popular beach at a small distance from Agios Nikolaos. . It's shallow waters is a reason for which it is preferred by families. It is organized and there are accomodaion options also.

Agia Photia beach: It is located 47 km south east of Agios Nikolaos. It is a sandy organized beach with a calm atmosphere. There are restaurant, bars and taverns in hand as well as accommodation and sports facilities.

Makrigyalos beach: It is located 60 km south east of Agios Nikolaos. It is a long sandy beach; the waters are shallow making it good for families. It is a well organized beach; many excursion boats leave from the village and go to Koufonissi. There are many options for accommodation and some fish taverns.

Agios Nikolaos beach: It is a beach that is very close to town it is very organized and there are watersports centers available, not to mention that it is good for families.

Hiona beach: it is located 90 km east of Agios Nikolaos. It is a small beach, very beautiful and unorganized although there are some small taverns there.

Chrissi Islet: It is located 34 km north west of Agios Nikolaos There is access to the islet by small fishing boats that leave in the morning and return in the afternoon from Ierapetra. In the islet you can expect tropical waters and landscape and a fish tavern.

Itanos beach: It is located 80 km east of Agios Nikolaos, it is a small beach beautiful and relaxing.

Myrtos beach: it is located 51 km of Agios Nikolaos, the beach it is not sandy and it is in front of Myrtos village. You can find accommodation and some taverns there, some parts of the beach are organized while others are not.

Pachia Ammos (thick sand): It is located 20 km south east of Agios Nikolaos, there are some accommodation options and fish taverns. It is an organized beach, the part of the beach that is in front of the port is sandy and the past of the port that is besides the village is peddled. It is often affected by strong winds.

Paleokastro beach: It is located 90 km east of Agios Nikolaos, it is a peaceful beach and it is very popular for windsurfing.

Tholos beach: it is located 26 km east of Agios Nikolaos, it is a peddled beach, not meltemi proof, it is an organized beach with two taverns and there is plenty of shade available by trees.

Ammos beach: Located at the center of Agios NIkolaos it is wind protected and there are facilities for accommodation, food and drink, nightlife, shopping, it can be accessed on foot.
